About Us
Star Dance Club

The Star Dance Club is based throughout Kent and South London, and teaches Ballroom, Latin American, Sequence Old Time, Alternative Rhythms, and Disco Freestyle Rock n Roll.

Pupils from children as young as three to the more mature adult dancer are taught at all levels from social dance to a high internationally competitive level.

Since its formation in 1992, the school has achieved numerous success at events held throughout the country with pupils from the school now representing Great Britain at top world class events.

Several hundred pupils are put through their paces each week. From complete beginners, we have trained pupils to National and International titles. From head to toe, beginners to professional, we can offer the training you require. For fun or career minded dancers, we have all the knowledge and expertise you need. Whether you want a career or help with your wedding dance, we can provide the experience to help you dance your way forward.

Watch any medallist event where "Star" students are taking part, and the sheer number of prizes they win speaks volumes for the standard to which they are taught.  Not just medallists - when their students wish to branch out into Open Competitions, "Star" has teachers qualified to take their students to the highest level - as proved by  their results: British Juvenile , Junior, and Youth Champions, and endless other high places in both National and International events, and have proved popular performers in shows such as the Olympic Torch Ceremony, Strictly Come Dancing, and many others.

Some students turn professional and continue their training at Star to become teachers and carry on the same high standards.  Other professionals of both National and International acclaim go to the school to study the theory necessary for their examinations as judges, examiners, etc.

But "Star" is not all hard work and competitions: social dancers are catered for, and great events are held in London each year which are open to all comers. Theatre trips and holidays are organised with such professionalism and care.

Small wonder then that students travel from far and wide, even from abroad, to attend Star Dance Club.
